Feeling amazing isn't a fantasy or a dream.  Once you figure out what your individual body needs and apply it consistently, your body will respond. 

Food is a large part of feeling amazing.  Food was meant to be enjoyed and eating well doesn't have to be boring. You can enjoy healthy delicious food withing forcing it down just because it's good for you.  

I was a very picky eater well into my twenties.  My meals consisted of Pasta, Pasta, and more Pasta.  

It wasn't until I started to get sick with auto immune issues that nutrition, movement, and managing my stress became a very large part of my healing and wellness.   

If I can do it, ANYONE can!

About Me

At the age of 20, I was diagnosed with a bladder disease called Interstitial Cystitis. My bladder condition was so painful at one point, that I had to self-catheter the medicine directly into my bladder to control my pain and symptoms.


A few years later, I had fertility issues trying to conceive my daughter, which started with failed cycle after failed cycle and a miscarriage the year prior to finally getting pregnant with her.

Shortly after having my daughter at age 27, I was diagnosed with a kidney disease called IGA Nephropathy. At the time of the diagnosis, my numbers were elevated and my biopsy already showed a 12% loss of overall function. At this time, I also learned I had Celiacs Disease and that the two are often connected and have a correlation.

Each diagnosis I was provided  a prescription for a drug to control symptoms. My weight and lifestyle were never mentioned in any of my appointments. No one ever mentioned the possibility of going into remissions or alleviating my symptoms with nutrition. Zero mention or addressing of the causes just the symptoms. 


At this point in my life, I was at my heaviest and unhealthiest. I was taking a post-natal class and decided it was time to take my health in my own hands and seek out other answers and solutions to why my body was attacking itself and I was in my twenties with now 3 diseases.


Over the years, I have continued to dive into nutrition and wellness and how much impact those things have on the body when given the proper attention and knowledge.

I have also learned that weight loss and health aren’t just about counting calories or macros, or the famous eat less move more mantra. There is a whole person involved with individual needs and history that is part of the equation.

After changing my lifestyle and focused on healing based on what my body needed, I went back to kidney specialist to retest my numbers. To his surprise, my numbers were in normal range and I didn’t need a prescription to prevent further damage. I was able to course correct with nutrition, appropriate movement for my body, and stress management.  As a result, I have maintained remaining prescription free for close to 20 years.

Achieving wellness through nutrition doesn’t mean dieting and counting calories. It’s not about letting food or that scale dictate your happiness. It’s about finding the wellness tools designed for you to bring you to optimal health and wellness.
